Eye Community Survey Adult Results

Below are the results from the Village Survey undertaken in Apr 08, 235 Eye residents of Eye’s population completed the Survey included in Eyescan and during the Open day at Leeds Hall

Priorities – Recipients were asked in the survey to select from a list their top six priorities for the Village.

The chart below shows the top six responses from Priority 1 for the Village and the % responses

 POLICING (*)

62% felt unsatisfied with the policing in the village and more police presence the most frequent response

47% said they would participate in a Neighbourhood Watch Scheme

 HOUSING / VILLAGE GROWTH (*)

70% of the respondents felt any further new housing would have a negative effect on the Village

90% felt the greenbelt should be protected

Only 23% wanted more than 40 new dwellings

 FACILITIES FOR TEENAGERS AND YOUTH (*)

70% felt the village needs to provide more opportunities/facilities for the teenagers

 SPEEDING (*)

73% felt speeding was a problem

 MORE SHOPS (*)

Below are the results from the Youth Village Survey undertaken in Apr 08 to find out the views of the young people on services provided in the village. A total of 61 completed questionnaires were received.
